Return the Love

Your mom has given you a lot, so what are you giving her for Mother's Day?  Western Union is encouraging people to Return the Love this Mother's Day.  With Western Union you can now send cash in the form of a gift card.  You can send one to your mom this year to make sure she gets just what she wants!

I am not sure how you feel about giving or receiving gift cards as a present, but I love it!  It is like two presents!  The item I buy and the shopping trip to buy it.  I think shopping is more than half the fun, especially when I get to do it alone without any kids in tow!

To celebrate your Mom and the Return to Love campaign with Western Union, you can share the best thing about your mom on their Facebook page, you can share a picture of you and your mom on their Flickr group, and you can enter to win a $50 Western Union gift card here!  I get to give away FIVE of them!!

To enter to win one of the $50 gift cards (that can be used anywhere that accepts Visa), leave a comment here on this post.  Tell me what you are getting your mother for Mother's Day, what your children could to to Return the Love this Sunday, or just what you would do with an extra $50!

For more entries:

Head over to Facebook.  'Like' the Western Union Facebook page and leave a comment HERE.

While you are there, you can 'Like' my page if you want to as well!  Already have, that counts too!

Check out the Return the Love Flickr page and upload a picture of you and your mom and you get one more entry!

You can even get an entry for being a Follower of my review/giveaway blog (that is this one!)
Make sure to leave a separate comment for each of these entries!

You can enter until midnight Eastern time on Saturday May 8th.  I will pick five winners on Monday, May 10th.  Winner will be chosen at random from all entries received, but only one gift card per winner (you can't win all 5...sorry).

Good luck and Happy Mother's Day!!

  23. Hehehe...I am WAY ahead of the game. Last week, when hubs took a business trip to where my parents live, I sent Mom's mother's Day gift along with him - a ricrac dahlia brooch. Ssssh...it's a secret!

  24. Well not to make this a sad comment but my mother passed in 2002 when I was 30 so Mother's day is no longer the same. Her birthday is also in May so for Mother's Day I will go to her gravesite and leave Daisies, her favorite flower. I will also travel to see my Mother in-Law and give her some gardening items. Her birthday is also this weekend!

    Happy Mother's Day to you!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I made my mom a frame to go along with some flowers!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am a follower, and a FB "like"-er!

My mom got a silver birdie thing, where you put a lemon wedge it it, press the birdie wings, and the lemon juice comes out the beak. It sounds weird, but it is SO adorable, and she went nuts. I don't see her too often (distance), so she got her gift a little early-- the last time I saw her!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I bought my mom pictures to hang in her room. I bought my mother-in-law cute outfits. For me...my daughter told me tonight to stay in bed Sunday morning so she can bring me breakfast. That's perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  28. If I won a gift card for $50.00, I would gie it to my mom (and dad) to use as they as going through some rough times right now. (as a lot of people are). We 5 kids (adults) are giving to them like we know that they would do for us.
Everyday is Mothers day for me as I still have her (and dad) and the best thing is they are only 5 minutes away from my house. Now that is a blessing in itself.
Thanks for a perfect give away.
    HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL!

  30. I think what my mom would like most for mother's day is to have all of her kids together but my husband and I live in another state. But she is getting a new granddaughter in August and is coming to visit me in a few weeks. I would use the gift card to spoil her while she's here visiting. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I would probably give it to my mom for Mother's Day so she could buy a new outfit.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am buying my Mom this super cute set of bracelets ...fun and colorful. If I win the gc, I am buying myself the same set :-). Yep, thay are that cute! Thanks for the chance. Happy Mother's Day to you!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I love giving gift cards too - especially to family and friends who don't live in the same state as me. My mom lives in another state so a gift card is the way to go. I gave her one to her favorite restaurant for her and my dad (Red Lobster) and a gift card to use at her favorite department store.

If I win the 50.00 Western Union card - I think I will use it to spoil a friend/mom in my ward who is a single mom of 5. I bet she could really use it.

    thanks for the chance! :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. i could definitely use $50. Not for me though. My kids shoes have holes in them (not to mention too small as well!). That would make my mothers day! To no longer have to see my kids toes through their tennies!
Happy mother's day to you Lorie!
And happy birthday to the boy!!

But the post that caught my attention was from kindhearted Miss Anne, who says she'll use it to buy Mother's Day flowers for an elderly woman without family. If I win, I'd like to do something like that. In fact, maybe in some small way, all of us here might think about doing something nice like that for someone, don't you think? Thanks for the giveaway and -- even if we don't win -- thanks for the inspiration, Miss!
