Bounce Bar

When I heard about the new Bounce Dryer Bar, my first thought was Really? Putting a dryer sheet in each load is that hard? Really? But then I got a couple of coupons in the mail that made them pretty darn cheap (cheaper than buying a box of dryer sheets) so I figured I would give them a shot. I am always a sucker for saving money.

So I bought one and brought it home. It is pretty easy to use. You open the box, peel off the paper that is covering the sticky stuff and you stick it to the inside of your dryer. And I actually really liked it. It worked well (no static) but wasn't overly perfumey. And it was actually really nice because I have a habit of forgetting if I have put in a dryer sheet or not, so most loads get two sheets, so it was nice to not have to think about it.

The bar that I bought was supposed to last 2 months. About a month into it, it lost its stick and fell off. I would stick it back on and it would fall of with each load, but there was still quite a bit of 'stuff' left to the bar, so I kept sticking it back on.

Then my husband did a load of laundry and I am going to guess that he didn't stick it back on the dryer and it crumbled into a ton of pieces. It felt like candle wax, but didn't melt or damage the clothes at all. It was just there...in pieces. So into the trash it went. So that, and the yucky spot on the inside of my dryer where the adhesive is mixed with lint made me fall out of love with my little Bounce Bar.

I did a little search online and have noticed that other people have had a similar problem. BUT, I had another coupon, so I cleaned off the yucky linty glue spot and bought another bar. I figure it deserves a second chance.

I am about 3 weeks into it and haven't had a problem. I will update you and let you know how it goes.
